Comment
about Mongolian Conditions: Your tour involves some days
of travelling off the beaten track, with long road journeys by
4WD transport over difficult terrain. Outside Ulaanbaatar, accommodation
is in traditional Gers which are circular tents. Facilities are
fairly basic, each Ger contains 2 beds, a wood stove, bedding,
and a simple chest. Hot water is not always available.
Accommodation in the countryside: Most tourists
will stay in specially constructed gers camps. These camps provide
accommodation in the round felt houses used by nomads and usually
have separate toilet, washing and restaurant facilities.
Group Size in Mongolia: With less than 2
passengers, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.
Excess baggage: the max. weight of your luggage
by our transport is 15 kg/30lbs , or the extra luggage can
be stored free at hotel in Ulaan Bataar.
VACCINE
& MEDICAL SERVICE: Travellers are advised to carry travel
insurance which includes an emergency evacuation clause in case
of very serious illness or injury. Travellers should bring first
aid medical kit. Although travellers may have medical insurance
in their own countries, it is probably not valid in Mongolia.
No specific vaccinations are required for Mongolia, though there
are a few that could prove useful. Some vaccinations which have
been recommended by western health authorities includes:
1. Rabies
2. Cholera
3. Marmot
4. Insects
5. Hepatitis A B
6. Whatever vaccinations you get should be recorded in an International
Health Certificate.
