Essential
Information: This Expedition will take place in
remote peaks in the Far Western province of Mongolia - Bayan Olgii.
This is a Land of Kazakh people with Golden Eagles with snow capped
mountains, glacial valleys, forests, and beautiful lakes and rivers
create a majestic setting. The area is inhabited by the elusive
Snow leopard, Wild mountain goat – Ibex, Argali Sheep and wolf.
The most popular seasons for visiting the area are on the end of
June, July, and on August. That's one of the most exciting and challenging
tours in the area, you will face any problems may come across due
to the weather and poor conditions along the way, but the views
are rewarding, dramatic mountain views, great river gorges and lovely
Kazakh people are waiting for you.
This expedition
(min. group of 3 adults or more people,
limit to 8-16 people, Minimum age 18.) requires flexibility,
tolerance and spirit of adventure of every journey participant due
to the remote wilderness areas of Mongolia. Anyhow the tourism infrastructure
has somewhat developed. Please, make your reservations at your earliest
convenience, 6-3 months
before the trip. Especially flights to the Far Western of Mongolia
are fully booked at this time. Hiking in remote wilderness of the
Altai Mountains. Home visits with Kazakh nomads. Fully outfitted
camping in pristine valleys with the shepherds.
A Typical Day: Our days begin
in the camp each morning with breakfast (generally served between
07:30am and 08:30am). We leave the camp around 09:00am either on
foot. During the trip, the whole group hikes & climbing together.
The hikes & climbing usually end in the mid-to-late afternoon (depending
on which hike & climbing ). Dinner and Free time. This is an excellent
opportunity for you to escape to the far western and enjoy the Kazak
family with eagle hunting.
